There was a time when I doubted myself,
especially when I first started as a quality control
specialist in technology.
It was challenging because I came
from a non-technical background.
I wasn't sure if I could do the job.
There was so much to learn, technology, coding,
and new skills.
I had to silence my inner critic and believe
that I could grow in this role.
To overcome self-doubt, I started
by learning small things first.
I took courses and learned more about testing.
I also made a habit of writing down
what I learned to track my progress
and celebrate small wins.
I was fortunate to have a supportive manager.
Whenever I didn't know something,
she helped me without judgment.
This made me feel more confident.
I also kept notes to remember things
and made sure not to ask the same questions repeatedly.
I embraced imperfection and accepted that mistakes
are part of the process.
Instead of fearing failure, I learned from my mistakes.
I was also lucky to have support from my husband.
He's a developer, so he could explain technical concepts
to me whenever I needed help.
This not only helped me improve my skills,
but also encouraged me to trust my instincts
when facing technical challenges.
Over time, I became more confident.
With help and hard work, I learned what I needed to do.
When I encountered new technology,
I stopped doubting myself.
I began to see it as an opportunity to learn new skills.
This shift in mindset helped me grow
and feel more confident.
I learned that everyone faces self-doubt at some point,
but we grow stronger by confronting it.
I learned to accept feedback,
be kind to myself, and keep learning.
Most importantly, I found my purpose in my work
and remained persistent, no matter how difficult it was.
These lessons continue to help me grow in my career.
